How to do the AI video trends with your own face

Updated · Remake the Trend

Pick the trend, upload one clear photo of yourself and look at the free preview of the first frame. If it looks like you, make the 10-second video ($6.99 for one). Download it, post it with the trend's sound or caption, and turn on TikTok's AI-generated label.

What "the AI video trend" usually means

It isn't one trend. It is a run of short formats where people put themselves into a scene they never filmed: sitting in a snow globe, dancing next to a famous clip, posing in a photo booth with a friend. Most come in two kinds, and we have 53 of them on the site.

How to do it, step by step

  1. Open the trend's page. The hottest ones are on the trends-today page, counted by how many creators posted them this week.
  2. Choose who is in it, if the trend allows: just you, you and a friend (two photos), or your dog or cat.
  3. Upload a photo. Face the camera, good light, nothing over your face. The photo guide below says which photos work.
  4. Look at the free preview: the first frame of the video, in about 15 seconds. Change it up to 3 times, or try another photo.
  5. Make the video: 10 seconds, 9:16, with sound. $6.99 for one, $14.99 for three. It takes 2 to 5 minutes and lands in My videos; we can email you when it's ready.
  6. Download it and post it. On TikTok, turn on "AI-generated content" under More options before posting.

When should you post it?

While other people are still posting it. A trend that is still rising gets searched and recommended; one that peaked weeks ago mostly gets scrolled past. Holiday trends are the exception: they come back every year, so Christmas ones are worth posting from late November to Christmas Day.

What we can't promise

AI video still gets things wrong: hands, fast turns and two faces close together are the hardest. The free preview catches most bad photos before you pay; a video that comes out wrong can be made again or refunded under our refund policy.
